Himolepsin

Combined drug. Obtained from the pancreas of cattle. The drug has a systemic effect. It has proteolytic, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, amylolytic and lipolytic effects.

Each enteric-coated tablet contains:

• Active substances: a purified concentrate containing trypsin and chymotrypsin in a ratio of approximately six to one.
• Enzyme activity 100,000 AU.

• For respiratory diseases: tracheitis, bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pneumonia, lung abscesses, bronchial asthma in order to thin thick viscous sputum, sanitize the respiratory tract and quickly relieve the inflammatory process;
• In surgical practice: in the treatment of third-degree burns, for the prevention of postoperative complications during lung operations for malignant neoplasms, chronic inflammatory processes, thrombophlebitis, bacterial infection of the skin, subcutaneous tissue, for resorption of hematomas, for pain after surgery, fractures, muscle injuries and tendons;
• In ophthalmology: for diseases of the cornea (ulcers, herpetic keratitis) in order to reject necrotic layers and accelerate regeneration, for burns of the mucous membrane, in fresh cases of obstruction of the lacrimal ducts, with sluggish healing of eyelid skin wounds;
• In otorhinolaryngology: to improve the penetration of antibiotics in chronic respiratory diseases, purulent sinusitis, purulent otitis ( acute , subacute chronic) with the presence of viscous exudate, after tracheostomy to facilitate the removal of thick viscous exudate, in chronic rhinitis;
• In gynecology and urology: for chronic recurrent infectious and inflammatory diseases of the genital area, for chronic prostatitis, episiotomy , recovery after cesarean section, hysterectomy;
• In dentistry: to improve the transport of nutrients to the site of inflammation and eliminate inflammatory edema (acute and chronic periodontitis, pulpitis);
• Also used: for burns, bedsores, trophic ulcers, purulent wounds.
