Ferrolife capsules

Ferrolife contains iron hydroxide polymaltose complex, which is a non-ionic source of iron. Ferrolife is used to correct iron deficiency anemia, which occurs especially during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Nonionic iron contained in Ferrolife does not release free iron radicals, unlike other iron salts.

Each capsule contains :

• Iron (III) hydroxide polymaltose complex eq. elemental iron 120 mg;
• Folic acid 1.5 mg;
• Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) 15 mcg;
• Zinc sulfate monohydrate R61.8 mg.

• the presence of gastrointestinal diseases that make it impossible to take the drug orally and can provoke an exacerbation of the disease;
• when IDA occurs after surgery (posthemorrhagic anemia);
• when you need to quickly replenish iron reserves.

Directions for use and dosage:
The drug is administered orally during or immediately after meals. Treatment of iron deficiency anemia in children over 12 years of age and adult patients: 1 capsule 1-2 times a day, daily, for 3 to 5 months until hemoglobin (Hb) levels normalize. After this, the drug must be continued to be taken. Maintenance therapy is carried out for at least another 4 weeks after achieving normal hemoglobin levels (1 capsule per day) in order to replenish iron reserves in the body.
Treatment of latent iron deficiency and prevention of iron deficiency in children over 12 years of age and adult patients: prescribe 1 capsule 1 time per day for 1-2 months.
Treatment of latent iron deficiency and prevention of iron deficiency in pregnant women: prescribe 1 capsule 1 time per day for 1-2 months.
Treatment of iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy: 1 capsule 1-2 times a day, daily, until Hb levels normalize. After this, the drug must be continued until the end of pregnancy, 1 capsule per day to replenish iron reserves in the body.
